This morning when I awoke and was having my morning coffee fix, I checked my email and was blown away by how many new “likes” and hits I had on my blog.
Now, I have a great following…I often joke that it’s 6 people that include my mom and my mother-in-law but I kid…(mostly).
But today, whoa, I woke up popular this morning! The word is getting out about my awesomeness? Well, no…I’M ON THE FRONT PAGE OF FREAKING AOL PEOPLE!
Yup, that’s my kid right there. Now I wish I would have used a better camera to take that picture and not just the one on my phone. But who cares!
Upon seeing the sudden influx of attention I emailed my editor at WhatToExpect and she very calmly says, “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, AOL liked your post and put it on their front page today…”
Wait, what, huh? YOU FORGOT TO TELL ME?
This is very exciting to say the least. To all the new fan and followers, Hello!
WOOHOO!

hi nicole,
i read your story and wow! i have never commented on a blog but i couldn’t resist. i so hear your pain. you told almost my same exact story! down to the husband being good at the big stuff, you the small, being a cryer and a barfer, being so sick, ultra sound at 9weeks, the d & c and of course the sadness. well, i am here to say that there will always be a small corner of sadness in your heart but it does get much better. in fact, my next pregnancy was a keeper and many years later i am here to say that she is wonderful and was born on …. august 8!
I just read your piece via AOL. First, I adore your voice and am now a new follower. Second, grateful that you admit that you can still be a blogger and not post every day. Third, THANK YOU for sharing your story. You are so honest and although I’m sure that was a really hard story to tell, it needs to be told. I’m glad I got the privilege to read yours. I cannot wait to watch what life has in store for you and your family.
Your newest fan – Angie
I arrived at your blog via AOL. (Watch out, you are going to be inundated by the crazies along with the rest of us “sane ones”). I think if you were to put a group of women together most of us would have a similar story but unlike you and me, many don’t talk about it. Kudos to you for bringing it to the frontlines….even though you didn’t plan it that way
. On the downside, I am going to have to add your blog to my reader list and I really don’t have the time, but for you, I will make a sacrifice.
That’s awesome! Love you, girl.
You actually make it appear so easy together with
your presentation but I find this matter to be really one thing that
I feel I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and very large
for me. I’m taking a look forward to your next publish, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
